About the Company

Aspire IRB is a full service independent review board founded November 15, 2004 by 4 woman with more than 25 years of combined IRB experience in the IRB industry.  Major strengths include knowledge of industry regulations and trends, years of customer contacts and relationships, recognition of the importance of efficiency and ethical review and a desire to do the job well without error or duplication.  Each of the four founders contributes a unique piece to the company. All four have strengths that compliment one another such as business development, operations, regulatory affairs and study management with scientific bench work.   Aspire IRB is a Limited Liability Company (LLC) founded in California.

The purpose of IRB review is to assure, both in advance and by periodic review, that appropriate steps are taken to protect the rights and welfare of humans participating as subjects in the research.  To accomplish this purpose, IRBs use a group process to review research protocols and related materials (e.g., informed consent documents and investigator brochures) to ensure protection of the rights and welfare of human subjects of research.

Aspire Independent Review Board (Aspire IRB) is dedicated to the ethical protection of human subjects in research.  Aspire IRB shall provide efficient and quality ethical review services to the research community.  The company shall approve and monitor research study protocols that include but are not limited to drugs, biologics, devices and behavioral research.  It is also their goal to oversee early drug development in the use of human subjects.

Aspire's business philosophy is to build lasting relationships with business partners who have a dedication to research and the ethical protection of human subjects.  The Company is committed to timely and efficient service with an emphasis on communication and teamwork.

Their business philosophy and commitment to excellence has allowed Aspire to have substantial growth over the past 2.5  years.  In 2006, sales/revenues reached over $1,000,000 and the staff grew to 10 employees.  2007 is projected to be just as successful with more than $1.6 million in sales and a staff of 15.  Each year shows an average $500,000 per year in revenue/sales growth.

ASSISTANCE FROM THE WBCC

"The time from conception to actually opening our doors for business was almost exactly 4-months.  We had a lot to learn and to accomplish in a very short time period.  The first thing we did was search the internet for low-cost, educational classes on how to start your own business.  We immediately were led to the WBCC.  We took every class we could get our hands on.  The classes were a great value and more importantly provided us with practical and sound information on starting our business.   The WBCC was integral in providing us tools and assistance to launch our company.  We highly recommend the WBCC to any woman with the desire, patience and determination to own their own company."
