Panel Presentation:  Flex Your Power with Flex Time

Brought to you by the U.S. Department of Labor Women’s Bureau

With rising fuel costs, an increasing need for two income families, single working parents, and other demands, how can employers and employees work together to increase workplace efficiency?  Workplace Flexibility programs can help employees manage ever challenging schedules without taking additional time off and help employers increase efficiency and profitability. 

Specifically, exercising flex time options can help with:

• Retaining quality employees despite family responsibilities that often require employees to take time off

• Going Green:  Make flex time a part of your company's conservation efforts

• Diversity: Flex time and telecommuting options provide options for quality employees with disabilities

During this two hour discussion, participants will:

• Learn how to implement flexibility programs and still adhere to strict California employment laws

• Hear from employers who have successfully implemented flexibility programs

• Hear from employees who are utilizing flexibility programs

Methods:

• U.S. Department of Labor will present flexibility program guidelines

• Employer and employee panelist presentations

• Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and express concerns

Registration:   Must pre-register and pre-pay by Thursday, July 17, 2008, by 12 noon
