Roundtable Discussion: Marketing on a Budget

So you're in business and ready to go, but you have no clients and no marketing budget to attract clients. 

How do new businesses get their name out there, brand themselves, and attract clients without a marketing budget?  How much do you have to spend, or should you spend, to get started?  What is the right strategy for your particular business?  Should you invest in a top-of-the-line website or do you need glossy, expensive brochures?  Should you focus on networking or advertising?  How do you reach your target market?   How can start-ups compete with existing businesses? 

Discuss marketing strategies and budget constraints for new businesses with other entrepreneurs.  Learn what worked and did not work from other small business owners.
